The day has finally arrived! As of now, you can listen to my first podcast episode ever. If you’re just tuning in, the podcast is called Skipped on Shuffle, and you can find it at iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher, and at our own site, SkippedOnShuffle.com. Give it a listen if you’re interested in music in general, Fiona Apple specifically, or just want to hear what kind of podcast we’ve put together.
Jason and I have been discussing this podcast for the past year, so it feels great to know that it’s finally out there. We hope people enjoy it and we especially hope that people enjoy it enough for us to make more! It was a fun project to complete, and we’d love to continue if the demand is there.
The episode that’s live right now is based on Fiona Apple, and we have five more episodes done on The Who, Depeche Mode, Coldplay, Led Zeppelin, and Pearl Jam. Those episodes will go live every Friday for the next five weeks. Be sure to subscribe, so you don’t forget!
Anyway, enough about my podcast. I promise this blog won’t just become the “Scott Promotes His Podcast Blog.” That would just be annoying.
My day job is still a freelance writer, and I’m still on staff at Android Authority. In fact, the higher-ups at AA gave me my own weekly feature on the site called “Comment Authority.” I go through the site each week and pick out the best comments from Android Authority readers and write an article about them. It’s fun, and it’s nice to know I’m trusted enough to take on the responsibility of an entire article series.
I also got a reasonably large contract from a repeat client of mine that I’m working on as I write this (multi-tasking, yo). It’s pretty unreal how well my full-time writing career is going so far in such a short time.
Anyway, I’ve got to keep working on this new contract, so I will check in next week with more news!
