Building A Retro Gaming PC, Like A True Nerd

For those of you just tuning in, I make my living writing about tech stuff at Android Authority. Everyone on staff is basically a colossal nerd talking about nerdy stuff. I fit right in because I am also a huge nerd and I like doing and talking about nerdy stuff.

Case in point: I am building a retro gaming PC, which is pretty nerdy. Emulation has come a long way, so I’ll not only be able to play games from old consoles like the Super Nintendo, Gameboy Color, Sega Genesis, etc., I’ll also be able to play games from the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and even the Nintendo 3DS. Check out my progress so far in the photo at the top of this article. Sweet background image, right?

Speaking of Android Authority, I wrote about some semi-controversial stuff this week. In my article “Samsung sued (again) for stealing tech from smaller company (again),” I talk about how Samsung is getting sued by a company called NuCurrent for stealing intellectual property. This is a new lawsuit in a long line of suits against Samsung for theft of IP, which is nuts.

I also wrote about how LG is reneging on its promise to reimburse users of its smartphones that had a bootloop issue, which is just insane. You can read about that fiasco here.

Finally, I did a lot of talking about Trump, which is pretty cool because AA tends to shy away from political stuff. But I had a lot to talk about in regards to the Broadcom-Qualcomm deal that the President squashed earlier this week.

All in all, I’m loving my job. I just get to write and write and write all day, and my nerdy co-workers are a joy to work with. And now that I can play retro video games to my heart’s content, I’m one happy camper.
